Proceedings of the Symposium on Cladocera are traditionally published in a special volume of Hydrobiologia. As agreed with the editor-in-chief, this year’s symposium won’t be an exception.
Over recent years, the impact factor of Hydrobiologia has steadily grown (to the present value of 2.212), and the contributions to the special volume are expected to match the journal’s standards. Priority is given to hypothesis-driven work. Both descriptive and experimental works are acceptable, provided they are firmly embedded in a conceptual framework and that all analyses (including statistics) are appropriate. The manuscripts intended to the special issue must be written in good English and adhere to the journal’s instructions for authors (for convenience, you may download them here in a PDF format but make sure you check also the journal’s website).
Each contributing author of the symposium is entitled to submit a manuscript. However, be aware that the standard rejection rate of Hydrobiologia is about 70%, and substantial proportions submitted to special volumes are rejected by the guest editors. The final decision about acceptance of all contributions resides with the journal’s editor-in-chief.
Submission deadline for the proceedings was prolonged to December 20, 2014.
Submit your manuscripts online via the Hydrobiologia Editorial Manager, and select the appropriate Special Issue (10th Symposium on Cladocera).
